Seeing Lives Transformed through Faith in Christ

Advent Windows 2014

When it’s cold, dark and miserable, light and warmth is something we long for; the light and warmth of a summer’s day or, in winter, the light and warmth of a welcome, and a place of safety and comfort. The world can seem a dark place, especially at this time of year when the success of the Christmas season is measured by how much of a good time you've had.

Through all the busyness, wrapping paper, shopping lists and cards; the decorations and bright lights point to the simple truth that God’s presence and love shine out in a very dark world. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” as the Bible puts it. That gift of light, love and life is for you today – now.

During Advent 2014 windows throughout Toton lit up day by day to reveal the first Christmas Story. The Advent Windows were designed and made by members of Toton Churches.  Those visiting the windows were able to follow the well-known story by walking, scooting, cycling or driving from house to house.
